Hyosung Expanding in Vietnam

Korean polypropylene maker considering two-phase, 600,000 ton investment

South Korea’s Hyosung Corporation is reportedly considering investing in a polypropylene (PP) manufacturing plant in in Ba Ria Vung Tau province of Vietnam. The plant which will be set up on an area of 600,000 square meters will be set up in two phases. The investment outlay for the first phase of the 300 million ton-per-year plant is is estimated at $336 million. The second phase, which is estimataed at $226 million, will add an another 300,000 tons per year to the site.
